Pähkinä needs your help

Our fellow Chihuahua breeder Pähkinä Kallinen from Finland is going through difficult times. While expecting a baby she was diagnosed with cancer of the backbone.  Her little daughter Jasmin was delivered 26.10.2004 by C-section on the 32 pregnancy week and is doing well (more pictures). Pähkinä has started her treatment, but the doctors don’t think they can cure her cancer, and say that she may only have 2 years..…....  They hope she will be out of hospital after the first round of treatment in about 2 weeks, so she can spend some time with her family (husband, 8 year old son and of course her new-borne daughter Jasmin).

We, her Chihuahua friends from around the world, have been helping Pähkinä and her family out as much as we can.  Her dogs are being looked after by fellow Chihuahua breeders in Finland, and we have been raising money by auctioning items and receiving donations.

We are now looking at alternative treatments at a specialized Cancer Clinic in Germany.

But we need your help!  We are looking for donations (no amount is too small), and we will soon have items for sale, e.g. calendars, Christmas cards, postcards, Chunjanas (Chihuahua size bandanas) etc.  We are also looking for any other fundraising ideas.

Please keep the whole Kallinen family in your thought & prayers.

Dear EuroChihuahua members! My chihuahua family!

When I got the new blood test results and heard that the cancer is not reacting to the sytostate treatment as was hoped, I was really down! Doctors told me that the cancer is going forward as they told me before, and I would leave my family soon...

But Sylvia told of this treatment in Pisa, Italy, that has helped people
in this kind of bad situations. Sylvia  told Tuula of this, too, but
none of us didn't want to worry all of you then... Bad news are not the ones that are easiest to tell...

As I have been ill, I have not been able to work as usually, and that is why my economical situation has not been so good at the moment. The trip to the treatments to Pisa was out of my reach.

But Margery and Tuula told me that the Chunja fund may help me out, and I shall get the treatment that otherwise would have been impossible to reach.

AGAIN, you list members have lifted me from the gates of death to the life with hope! I owe you my life!

If the people of the world would be like you, list members, this world
would be a paradise on the Earth!

I shall give you a report what is done in Pisa. I shall take photos , too.
